Saturday's plan

If all goes well, we will see the shuttle launch on the beach tomorrow.  It is scheduled for 4:39 am EST.  It is currently being fueled.  If there is any weather disturbance it will be scratched, but so far so good.  We didn't plan this, but it sure was good timing, and the perfect location since our hotel is right on the beach.  We had already planned on going to the Kennedy Space Center tomorrow, so this is just icing on the cake!

Today we went to Sebastian Inlet.  We were hoping to see some Manatee's but they weren't there.  Didn't bring the card reader with me, so can't post the pictures yet of the birds and the breakers that I got.  Got some nice sunset pictures too.

We are both feeling much better now.  On the plane here I didn't feel like I would ever be cold-free again.  But today just a little sneezing and blowing and it feels so good!

Arrived in Tampa

I thoroughly intended on posting a card that I emailed to myself, but I can't get online with my puter yet, so have to wait.  We had a rough trip with both Dave and I sick.  I got some cold pills in Chicago, so the second leg wasn't as bad.  I was even able to sleep a little.  Had a very eventful landing in Tampa though.  It seemed like he was kind of bobbling around a lot, and we were just about to touch down, just a few feet away from the runway and he pulled up.  A little later he made an announcement that we had to go back around and try again because there was another plane on the runway.  I think a lot of people knew there was something wrong even before he pulled up because it was just weird, but we were all really glad to get back and get on the ground for good.

Tomorrow it's off to the coast.  We're going to Kennedy Space Center on Sunday and Christy and Al have some fun stuff planned.  I think the hotel there has wireless so I can post a card there.

Day 35

I know that I am going to loose track of which day it is since it changed months cause I can't just look at the day of the month and tell.  Thank goodness for editing.

I may not be posting a card every day now because we are leaving early tomorrow for Florida.  I have three extras and we will be spending the firt few days  at Cocoa Beach with no card making supplies!  Just don't know how I'll handle that.  I can't even make a card today because I packed my stuff.  My carry on is my cuttlebug, sponges stamps and few other supplies.  My inks are in a checked bag, didn't want to take the chance of them telling me I can't take them on the plane.  Wish I could stamp on the plane, or during the 3 hour layover in Chicago.

So, here's my last card for today.  Did this one last night.  Saw the sketch idea on a Unity blogger's site, I think it was Angela's.

See you all on the other side of the nation!  Or maybe I will post from Chicago during the layover.  Won't have a whole lot else to do.  Hope that Dave and I are not symptamatic by tomorrow with these awful colds we have.  Planning on getting all drugged up so nobody will know :). 

Day 34

I've been so wanting to use this ribbon, i've had it around forever.  There is another one that is green, with white daisy's and pink centers, but it was too much green with the green on the blocks.  I'll have to do one with pink blocks to use it.

The one on the left is Technique Tuesday, the other was a dollar stamp I believe.

Cirque Sublime Adomo

They wouldn't let us take pictures, so had to find some on the net.  We had totally awesome seats, second row right in front of the stage.  The aerial's were great.

This guy, I called him Adonas (phew!!) did a fantastic act with a stainless steel frame where he did tricks on it and then picked it up and spun it around and even spunt it on his head.  Then he and this other guy did a routine that was fantastic.  It was exactly as pictured here (this was just one), he was holding the guy wth one hand.

Most of the women, except for one dancer, were very athletic, I mean some of them had muscles like a man... not this man above, but pretty hefty.  The music was fantastic, I would love to have the sound track.  There was another woman that I called the human gyroscope that did a routine with a stainless large hoop.  It was beyond words.  It was a hard audience, but she got the best applause of them all. No pics of her though.

It was well worth the money spent for the better seats, I couldn't be happier with it.  Oh yeah, and Adonas was gorgeous, did I say that before? 

Day 33

I wasn't sure about this little own when I got him cause his eyes are so droopy, but he's growing on me.  This is the bigger of the two owls, the other one I used early on the same branch.  The paper flowers really make him pop though.  He's also mounted with pop dots for dimension.  I'm not good at all at coloring stamps in, but this one I just colored the edge and used a blender pen.  I would so love to get some copics and take a class.  I would never think of buying them without a class, it would be a waste of money.

Day 32
