A couple more...

This one is a little out of the box for me.  It is the size of a legal envelope.  Paper is CTMH, phrase is Stampers Anonymous, blocks are a set I picked up on clearance at Michael's.

The background paper is using the double embossed method.  Stamp is Unity. Ribbon is Michael's clearance.

After Christmas shopping

I've been wanting a script stamp for so long, and finally broke loose and bought one last week.  This is a few of the things I've wanted to do with it.  The butterfly is Unity, the flourish is T.H. Stampers Anonymous, and the script is from JoAnn's.  Fairy stamp is Unity.

I also figured out how to use Quickutz dies in my Cuddlebug.  The sentiments in #1 and #3 are stamped on them.

Christmas Surprise

This was a very sweet surprise from "Santa" that came today. I was wondering how Dave knew so much about what FTD had to offer when we were having a conversation about the flowers that came from Bob last week. It is so beautiful with 7 perfect red roses and carnations.

Stampers Anonymous

Actually, that should be a good group for me... Stampers Anonymous...  but actually, it's just the name of the stmp company that makes Tim Holtz design stamps.  This is one of the sets I bought yesterday with some of my Christmas money.  The sentiment frame was heat embossed and cut out and adhered to the card.  Card is ink distressed.

New Unity Stamps

These are from the December Unity Set.  I squeezed in a couple cards between office, baking and wrapping yesterday.  Painted the hearts in with Smooch ink.

Background is the main image on this one.  I colored some of the pearls with alcohol inks.
I've so been wanting to try this one.  The ribbon is secured with Liquid Glass.  Regular adhesive won't hold it.  Love the Unity script/flourish stamp!
The background stamp on base is from Tim Holtz.

My Prize

I got this in the mail today from the contest drawing.  Can I say that I LOVE Tim's Distress products!  Two Distress ink pads, three Distress Stickles and Rock Candy Distress Crackle in a little carry case.  Woo Hoo!  Thanks Tim!

I'm a winner!

I am so excited!  I've been doing the Twelve Days of Tags on Tim Holtz blog and learning lots of new techniques, including this one using alcohol inks and glossy card stock to make a plaid background, so much fun!

Every day he does a drawing of those who post on the blog.  There have been over 3000 posts a day.  And today I won!  I was so shocked.  Now I can't say again "I never win" because I have.  I don't even know what I won, but it will be some kind of Tim Holtz product, of which I am totally in love with!

In Memory

Our precious Walter dog left us on December 3rd.  To say that he was Dave's constant companion was an understatement to say the least.  He loved it when we came to Auburn because it meant that Daddy was home all the time!  Except he got very confused when Daddy wasn't holding him the entire time, or when he was outside doing community duties.

Whether playing, sleeping eating, at the computer, you name it, Walter was beside him.

Before we came to Auburn and Dave had to work outside of the community, Walter would go in to his "happy dance" when Dave got home from work.  He ran around, rolled, jumped in the air.  It was the best time of his day for sure!

When we went on hikes Walter was right at his side in his carry pouch.  I even have one picture of them in Marysville with Dave doing the mowing on the rider with Walter in the bag.

When he was younger he loved his toys, but as he got older he was definately more attached to his blankies.  When we went on camping trips he had to have his own chair.  Dave bought him this bed and it was so huge huge, but it gave him the room to toss around and get the blanket "just so."

This soft black blankie now sits on Dave's chair.  The only thing that he wanted to keep that was Walter's. He has been with us in our homes in 5 different cities since Carla and David gave him to us when he was just a youngster.  He left us as a very old man, and has left a huge hole in our hearts, but has also left us with so much love.  I want to believe that God has made a special place for our furrie babies to wait for us until we come.
